In early October, MHS and The Hershey Company (THC) marked a new partnership designed to increase awareness of the School. As part of the partnership, MHS and THC have launched a joint website, which tells the story of MHS and the relationship between the School and the chocolate company. To view the site, go to:

Also, MHS and THC announced that entertainer Queen Latifah will serve as ambassador for the School's outreach efforts. Latifah is known throughout the industry for providing opportunity to young people just beginning their careers.

The Hershey Community Youth Alliance (HCYA) kicks off its activities October 11 by participating in the Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty (CROP) Walk on the MHS campus. The HCYA is a new, student-led service and leadership organization composed of students from MHS and Hershey High School.

MHS launches a news module on its website. The new Spartan ONLINE contains features, video, and a photo gallery and is designed to keep staff, students, alumni, retirees, parents/sponsors, and the public up to date on the goings on at the School.
