- On July 20, LeRoy S. Zimmerman, chairman of the Board of Managers of Milton Hershey School, announces that Dr. Anthony J. Colistra, a 1959 graduate of Milton Hershey School, will succeed Johnny O'Brien as MHS president. Dr. Colistra is a former superintendent of the Cumberland Valley School District. O'Brien, a 1961 MHS graduate, is retiring after seven years as the School's head. Dr. Colistra was chosen after an eight-month nationwide search conducted by the Milton Hershey School Board of Managers.
