On Aug. 4, LeRoy S. Zimmerman, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hershey Trust Company and Board of Managers of the Milton Hershey School, announces that Barbara Barrett, an accomplished businesswoman and lawyer with extensive management experience, and James Sheehan, a former teacher and general counsel for MHS, have been named to the MHS board.

The new school year kicks off on Aug. 15 with a day of community service, reflection, and celebration, including on-campus community service projects. A Community Day Celebration was held later in the afternoon at the Ice Rink and Community Recreation Center areas of campus.

Dr. Rodrigue Mortel, founder of Les Bons Samaritains, a school for impoverished children in Haiti, and leader of the Missions Office for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, addresses the MHS community at the Opening of School Assembly on Aug. 16.
