August 2008
- More than 700 students and adults work with Mural Artist Jared Bader, of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Project, on a mural depicting the history and story of the School. The 45-panel mural will be installed during the School's Centennial Celebration in 2009.
- On a rainy August 29, the MHS Spartans take on their local rivals, the Hershey Trojans, in the 66th Annual Cocoa Bean Game. The Trojans took home the Bean, with a final score of 27-6.
- MHS welcomes 277 new students during its summer enrollment. At the end of August, the total MHS enrollment was 1,747, which is the highest enrollment in the history of the School.
