High School-Senior Hall South

Senior Hall South, adjacent to Senior Hall, welcomed ninth grade students in August 2007. The Ninth Grade School was developed around the concept of a small learning community; a school-within-a-school organized around interdisciplinary teams of English, math, science, and social studies. Incoming freshmen are connected to a select "team" of teachers and staff who will use research proven best instructional strategies to teach the curriculum as well as address their students' needs more personally. Teachers work in a collaborative environment and are committed to the learning of the students they share. In keeping with the town center concept, ninth grade students continue to be enrolled in Career/Technical Education, Visual & Performing Arts, World Language, and Healthy Lifestyles courses in separate buildings.
